Be On The Tour

Are you interested in showcasing your project in the Houston Solar Tour?  Enthusiastic homeowners, businesses, PV installers, builders and architects can share their projects with the public.  Your project may inspire a neighbor to install a system on their house as well!

For the first four years of the Houston Solar Tour we searched high and low for appropriate projects.  Now there are more projects than we can accommodate on the tour – which is great news!  Please submit your project with the following criteria in mind.

CRITERIA TO BE ON THE TOUR

Projects are selected primarily on application, location and variety of type of project.  Is there something about your project that makes is a great demonstration of a solar system?  Is it unusual in some way?  Are there other things about your project that tour visitors would be interested in?

We also select projects according to geographic location.  And lastly we strive to represent all of the PV installers in the Houston area fairly. The more you can tell us how your project may interest Houstonians, the easier our selection process will be!

SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT

Download the Description Form, complete and email it back to us along with photos. Final photo submissions must be high resolutions and clearly represent the project. We will want to know about the size of the systems, any other interesting details and your own personal story.   To get an idea of how others presented their systems, please download the 2008 and 2009 ASES Houston Solar Tour guides.

Once you email us, a Solar Tour representative will get back with you within 72 hours.
