  • Site Selection
    Help us identify, contact, assess, and inform homeowners and business operators who have interesting solar systems. Since we are planning to present quarterly tours with a rotating focus on different areas of Houston, site selection is a year-round task.
  • Site & Volunteer Coordination
    Help coordinate the tour sites for tour day.
  • Tour Site Docent
    Volunteer to be a site docent on tour day.
  • Tour Day Runner
    Distribute signs and tour guides on the day of the tour.
  • Marketing, Public and Media Relations
    Help develop annual campaigns, assist with marketing, PR strategy, social media and viral marketing, and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Content & Copywriters
    Assist in development of creative, technical, media relations, and social media content.
  • Graphics & Website Development
    People with Adobe design tools experience, WordPress and programming experience are needed throughout the year.
  • Sponsorships
    Work on the sponsorship committee and encourage industry related companies to get involved.
  • Student Representative
    Represent the Solar Tour at your school, encourage classmates to get involved.
